Fun & Creativity
Art
Art helps young children to develop both gross and fine motor skills. fine motor skills are essential for a child’s school readiness and include providing practice with hand-eye coordination; bilateral hand use and using small hands and fingers to grasp markers, crayons, and brushes and create scribbles and marks.
Music
Praise and Worship is essential in our schools foundation. Through this we teach our little ones to connect with God with an attitude of gratitude. The highest form of praise we can give our Heavenly Father is through worship.
Children are also exposed to various musicals interments to keep to the beat.
Movement
Movement is our outdoor, physical, exercise program to develop their gross motor skills and core muscle development. This is done in various forms through physical exercise, dance and obstacle courses. This also helps your child to develop their midline crossing (reading, writing and tying shoelaces) which is of paramount importance for their 3 learning areas.
When children learn to midline cross, they are using both sides of their brain to coordinate smooth, controlled, complex, movement.
Robotics
Robotics in preschools makes learning STEM fun and interactive, building problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork skills. Hands-on activities boost motor skills, confidence, and understanding of real-world technology while encouraging collaboration.
Language
Developing early literacy skills makes it easier for children to learn to read. Children who enter school with these skills have an advantage that carries with them throughout their school years. Reading is an essential skill for success in school and later in life.
Mathematics
Maths is an important part of learning for children in the early years because it provides vital life skills. It will help children problem solve, measure and develop their own spacial awareness, and teach them how to use and understand shapes.
Outside Play
Children need to remain active throughout the day; promoting outdoor play allows them to get fresh air and explore their environment more. Hands-on learning, the natural environment and loose parts in the outdoors stimulate children’s senses through what they hear, touch, see and feel.
